I remember your eyes, voice and words woven into your poetry that you shared with so many. Never afraid, said what you meant, and meant what you said. You expressed your thoughts and ideas even when, at times, you stood alone. Thank you for gracing my life and for the legacy that you leave in our care.

Two of Gerda Govine Ituarte's poems were accepted to be included in Tia Chucha's Press anthology "Coiled Serpent Poets Arising from the Cultural Quakes & Shifts in Los Angeles." The anthology will be presented at the Associated Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) conference in March 2016 in Los Angeles to more than 12,000 attendees.
